I bought the C9 and I
love it. I can't explain why. I have 3 Glocks, but for some reason I really enjoy the Hi-Point; so much so, that I got on EBay and bought a Fobus paddle holster and a mag pouch for it. Because of their price, people assume the worst. It is
extremely accurate, and comfortable to shoot. The night that I bought mine, I was at the range with a friend and a group of his friends that we met there. I got to try Para-Ordinance, Beretta, .45 GAP Glock, etc. The C9 shot better than the PX4 or the 92D, and not just for me. It's made in America and has a lifetime guarantee that transfers to the 3rd, 12th or 112th owner. Buy one and put some ammo through one. You'll love it. I want to buy another! If you're interested, here's a forum for Hi-Point:
http://hipointfirearmsforums.com/Forum/index.phpAs far as 9mm being "anemic", don't let internet commandos kid you: hitting a vital area with a 9mm will take the wind out of anyone's sails, and being able to
accurately hit what you're aiming at goes a long way. 9mm is about accuracy and follow-up shots. If you can shoot a larger caliber accurately enough, good for you. If not, go with 9mm. Ego doesn't count for anything with a miss; especially when you life is at stake.
Hope that answers your question(s).
