Now wait, before we start wishing all of Louisiana would be wiped away, please hear out this Rev Dog. First off, I am from SW Louisiana, and many of us are still pissed just like many of ya'll from SE Texas that Katrina devestated areas are receiving all the support while Hurrican Rita, according to our media, was little more than a summer squall. Our Congressional Rep., Charles Boustany, has worked with ya'lls Rep., Ted Poe, in trying to keep the Feds. from forgetting about the Rita area. Guess what? They (we) have not been successful.
In regards to Florida, they never complained much b/c they received very efficient recovery response. I'm not defending our dumbass governor (I didn't vote for her) or our state legislators, but let's look at the political facts. LA and MS COMBINED hold 15 electoral votes. Florida alone holds 27.
All that said, I'm doing my damnest to try and change the political environment of this state that I love. However, the more I fight, the more I see it will take alot of time.
Agreed, thank you Mr. Pruett. I live in Louisiana but found the guys a couple days before Rita, as I was bugging out of our office in Beaumont. Since then, I've been listening, either streaming internet or during my commute into and from Beaumont.
